Our IHL/ PCN Annual General Meeting 2023

Wednesday 8 November 2023, 7pm to 9pm

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM. The event focused on the achievements over the last year and asked practice members about their priorities for the Federation/PCN over the coming year.

Presentations from Gay, Lucia, Lynda, and Natalie from our PCN Team put a spotlight on the expanding role of our team and the huge contribution this is making to neighbourhood working and practice support.

The range of contracts, services, new initiatives and 22/23 finances was presented. This highlighted the additional income generated to South Southwark PCN through contracts and initiatives enabling us to improve access for our patients and reduce inequalities.

We are nothing without our team - and we considered the benefits of being a large PCN which enables the development of career structures, training and development, support, and supervision to make South Southwark PCN the employer of choice and help us attract and retain great people.

When considering the future, practice members supported the exploration of a potential Joint Venture with other South East London Boroughs but stressed the importance of retaining independence and focus on South Southwark patients and practices. We explored how the Federation/PCN can help improve access and, amongst other things, members highlighted the importance of expanding our PCN Team and continuing the development of the EA hub. We look forward to the 2024 AGM!
