Our Neighbourhoods
Overview of neighbourhood delivery
Our GP practices are divided into four geographical areas called neighbourhoods. Our neighbourhoods are: Peckham, Camberwell, Dulwich and Nunhead Villages and Dulwich.
Our neighbourhoods each cover about 30-50,000 patients and four to five GP practices. We know that each neighbourhood will vary in terms of the people living there and the community groups and activities that are available. We are looking at how staff and organisations can work together more closely in their neighbourhoods to provide services and support the health and well-being of their local community. This will include general practices, community pharmacies, hospital teams, social care and the voluntary sector working together in a different way that focuses on the needs of the population they are supporting. This is also referred to as ‘Integrated Neighbourhood Teams’ and is described in the Fuller Stocktake, which reviewed current arrangements and made recommendations for how this could be improved.
We are doing lots of work locally and will provide further updates shortly.
