Pecan Employment Service

Are you a parent with a child or children under 16 and looking for work, parttime or full-time? Or an unpaid carer looking to get back into employment?

If yes, Employment Support offers:

The Princes Trust

If you're 16 to 30 years old and want to gain experience, skills, training and confidence to help you into work, the Princes Trust have several programmes that can support.

Radical Recruit

Radial Recruit offer support to unemployed London residents who are 18+ with a barrier (for example: mental health, ex-offender, care-leaver, etc.).

They can offer 1:1 employment support including job matching, CV support, interview skills and training.

Toucan Employment

Toucan Employment are committed to helping people with learning disabilities and autism into employment.

  • They find jobs for their clients in small and large businesses and organisations.
  • They provide one to one support for their clients to ensure they are matched with the role they are best suited to.

Southside Rehabilitation

SRA is a charity providing employment training / intermediate employment for people with mental health problems. They do this by running a variety of social enterprises.

All the profits are reinvested in their trainees, enabling them to return to open employment and social inclusion. They help people to access adult education, work placements and support to find a job.

You can refer yourself or get someone such as your GP, Care Coordinator or Housing Worker to refer you. You can visit and look around, meet with the staff and see for yourself what they have to offer. Their two sites, Camberwell and West Norwood are very accessible by public transport.

Community Southwark

Community Southwark provide volunteering advice and support for those wishing to find out more about voluntary roles available in Southwark. They offer 30-minute appointments to find out what type of volunteering you might be interested in and help you find the right opportunity to suit your preferences. If you have additional needs, they can also help you fill out applications and ensure you are supported.

Southwark Wellbeing Hub

Southwark Wellbeing Hub is a charity providing information and support to anyone in Southwark who would like to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Being a volunteer with Southwark Wellbeing Hub is an opportunity to develop socially, professionally, and personally. It gives you an insight into the charity and social care sector as part of a dedicated team.

Southwark Wellbeing Hub have a range of volunteering opportunities to suit different skills and interests. All their volunteer roles are based in Southwark and involve working alongside people to support them through challenges relating to mental health.

The Apprenticeship team supports individuals aged 16 or over who live in the London Borough of Southwark to progress in their careers by securing an apprenticeship role.
